Apr 1Stated meeting 7:30pm
White Leather Apron night
Apr 8EA Degree, 7:00pm

Brethren,

It's been busy of late and I am very pleased to see so much activity in our beehive. The Wives & Widows dinner was wonderful, thanks to our own Mr. Boogie Woogie.

Brother EA Bonam may be deployed to Iraq sometime in March. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and pray for his quick and safe return.

Welcome to our newest member, Brother EA Jenkins, who was initiated on March 11th. I expect we'll have another EA degree in April so bring your calendars to the meeting.

The Officer's meeting is Monday, March 31st, at 6:30PM.

April's Stated is White Leather Apron night. Please dust off your apron and wear it to Lodge. Also our cake chef (my wife) tells me that we'll be having pineapple upside down cake. Don't miss out.

Another reminder that our District Deputy will pay us an official visit for our May Stated, and we'll be practicing the Sunday afternoon prior.

Fraternally,
Larry Williams, WM

Secretary's Corner

Hello again, Ghosty here. Harold is recovering form his injuries at the Marquis care center in Forest Grove and has asked me to stand in again for him this month since the doctor won't let him stand yet. He is doing well and enjoys company very much. That's a not-so-subtle hint to go and see him...

Ghostly note: Harold is home at Jennings but in a new apartment, so don't visit him at the Marquis.

We had a nice degree on the 11th of March but there were barely enough in attendance to get the degree done, which is always a little demoralizing for the degree team. As WM Larry suggested, please bring your calendars to the April stated so you can take note of upcoming events and join us for good fellowship. I also have it on good authority that there will be something special for April Fool's, so don't miss it!

We have put in for a dispensation to hold our May meeting at Jennings-McCall to support our members there who have a hard time getting out, and to hopefully greet our District Deputy with a big crowd. More information will appear in the next Trestleboard but if you come to Lodge this month, you'll get all the news first-hand.

And if that's not enough to convince you to come to Lodge...WM Larry's wife makes really good cake. So come join us and get your share.

Harold's Ghost Writer

Honor Appointed Officers
Apr 28LF Regular Meeting 8:00
2nd Instruction

I hope all of you had a great Easter Holiday.

I would like to thank all who helped with the Pancake Breakfast. Without support from our Chapter these type of fundraising events would not be possible.

Our Friendship night was a great success. Thanks to all who came out to support our amazingly dedicated committee members. We are proud of Peggy, Sharon, Mary and John for their dedication to the Eastern Star.

We are still very concerned by the lack of attendance by many of members. There are still many of you who have not been out to Chapter and infact we are just barely able to fill all of our stations. Please Please try to add Chapter to your busy schedule. WE MISS YOU AND NEED YOU!

If you have not heard many of our members have been very ill or injuried. Harold Johnson broke his hip and is recovering at Marquis in Forest Grove, he would love to recieve a card or even better yet a visit. Doris Byers (a member of Home Star and great friend to Forest) is also in Marquis. Doris Adams has been sick for the past 2 months and would love cards. Sadly Connie Fries is very weak and is failing very quickly. Hospice is now involved. Remember they have no family in the area and we are their family. Please take some time to either visit or send a card. For more information please call Carol or Cinder at 503-985-7857 and we can get you updates or addresses.

Star Love,
W.M Carol Currie
W.P. Lindy Larkins
